“The Club has given me a great opportunity to meet a lot of new people; it seems every month I meet someone new. The speakers are always very interesting and give great information to keep me up to date on local and national issues.” by Andy Wallner, Tailored CPAs,P.C.
“Amazing network opportunities and amazing speaker…the Economic Club has been a valuable asset to me professionally and personally!!” by Nheena Weyer Ittner, Director, Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum
“It is very important to get involved with the Marquette Economics Club for a variety of reasons. The biggest benefit is that it offers a fantastic networking opportunity. They say business is not what you know but who you know and the Marquette Economic Club provides an opportunity like no other to meet a variety of very influential people across all industries in Marquette. Besides the networking opportunity, the Marquette Economic Club brings in relevant speakers to talk on topics that affect our community and everyday lives. As a student helping out at the club, I have personally gained valuable professional experience through having an opportunity to not only see how the business community interacts with each other but also by participating in interactions with others in a professional setting.”
by Troy J. Cogan, Past President of the NMU Economic Student Association
“Economic Club is a must do on my calendar each month. The networking opportunities with community leaders across the region help me to build stronger relationships and in turn do my job effectively. Icing on the cake are the informative speakers that round out the evening.”
