Mr. Bednarek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northern Michigan
University in Marquette, Michigan in 1990. Mr. Bednarek then went to work for Prince Corporation, a
supplier of interior components to the automobile industry, performing the roles of Production Team
Supervisor, Quality Engineer, and Launch Quality Engineer. During this time, he completed course work
towards his MBA in Engineering Management at Western Michigan University. In 1996, Prince
Corporation was sold to Johnson Controls, Inc (JCI). In 1998, Mr. Bednarek left JCI and entered into
business for himself, owning and operating a landscape construction and retail garden center in
Marquette, MI, actively functioning as President and CEO. In 2010, he closed his business and took
employment with Premeau Construction Inc., in Marquette, as Business Manager/Controller. In 2012,
Mr. Bednarek began employment with Peninsula Fiber Network (PFN) as the company’s Controller and
employee number four. Today, Mr. Bednarek is actively involved in PFN’s growth as a
Telecommunications Carrier in the Midwest.
Mr. Bednarek is an avid downhill skier, having been an Alpine Ski Instructor since 2008 and a past
Director of the Snowsports School at Marquette Mountain Ski Resort. Mr. Bednarek has also been
active in coaching youth sports since 2001.
