Tom Andes, President, Thomas Theatre Group

Thomas D. Andes is the 4th generation owner of Thomas Theatre Group, Inc. responsible for the oversight and operation of 26 movie theatre screens in three locations across the central region of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  This regional chain entertains approximately 400,000 customers a year. Thomas purchased the company from his family in 2010, which was founded by Martin Thomas in 1922.  An opportunity for expansion was identified in Marquette, MI and in 2014 the Marquette Cinema was built.  The company invested 10MM into a new facility, but more importantly the Marquette Community.

Tom loves the idea of bringing the best in American Entertainment viewed in a state-of-the-art arena to small town America, whose business and employees bring value to a community in a unique way which can’t be replicated.  Seeing satisfied customers and families in our facilities has been a tremendous source of pride for our company Since 1922.

Thomas Andes is married to Valarie Andes, and they have three fantastic sons.  Jacob (7), Alexander (4), and William (1) are the center of their universe and a great source of laughter.  He spends most of his time with them outdoors, swimming, waterskiing, golfing, snow skiing, all kinds of outdoor fun and making maple syrup.  When not with his family he enjoys hunting, woodworking, golf, traveling, fine wine and the occasional cigar.
